A Pakistan delegation has welcomed an offer of solidarity and support for flood victims during the fifth round of the Chaopraya Dialogue- Track II talks in Bangkok, Thailand.

The dialogue, held from August 28 to August 30, was held between top-ranking officials of both countries.

General (r) Dipankar Banerjee headed the Indian delegation, while former information minister Sherry Rehman led the Pakistan delegation at the talks, the Daily Times reports.

Participants agreed to a consensus document that focuses on having a sustained dialogue between New Delhi and Islamabad. It was also recommended that there should be a dialogue between representatives from Jammu and Kashmir.

Both sides agreed that India and Pakistan should work towards facilitating the prosecution of terrorists. It was also proposed that both countries should not interfere in each other's internal affairs, and that no country should interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan. (ANI)
